Violations of the spoken terms are punishable by administrative fine and may cause the foreigner to have a notice on his\/her name that bans the foreigner from re-entering Turkey from 1 month to 5 years.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Foreign citizens may apply for a residence permit by themselves or with an attorney. But the procedures of each application is different. A simple miss step in application may cause you time\/your application money. The applicant has to be very careful when applying for Turkish Residency. There are very crucial and fundamental things to know when applying for a residence permit in Turkey.<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Applicant has to be in Turkey. Applicant cannot apply for a residence permit even if they are in Turkey, if they crossed the borders\/airports\/terminals in an illegal way. Granting residence permit are one of the sovereign rights of a country. But that does not mean the denial of Turkish Residence Permit Applications can not be challenged. In case of denial of Turkish Residence Permit the decision can be put to court and appeal to revoke the denial decision.
