This is a type of registry. Because by birth, a person just by being born, have been entitled to be a Turkish Citizen. Entitled persons are making their applications so that they can be registered in Turkish Directorate General of Civil Registration and Citizenship Affairs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Important: In Turkey, citizenship by birth does not mean the citizenship is earned by the birth place. What is important is the lineage. Which means, one of the parents or both of them are Turkish Citizen, then the child is entitled to be a Turkish Citizen. Just the birth of the child on Turkish soil does not give an entitlement to become a Turkish Citizen.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Obtaining_Turkish_Citizenship_Afterbirth\"><\/span><b>Obtaining Turkish Citizenship Afterbirth<\/b><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Obtaining the Turkish Citizenship is actually means obtaining the Turkish Citizenship Afterbirth. Turkish Citizenship Law Nu.5901 allows foreign citizens to be a Turkish Citizen who are not able to obtain a <\/span><b>Turkish Citizenship by Birth<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There are numerous ways to <\/span><b>Obtain Turkish Citizenship<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. But each of the applications are bound by the approval of the President of Turkey.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Turkish_Citizenship_by_Marriage\"><\/span><b>Turkish Citizenship by Marriage<\/b><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Marrying a Turkish citizen does not give the foreigner the direct right to get the Turkish citizenship, but foreigners married to Turkish citizens and whose marriage continues after three years are entitled to apply for the Turkish citizenship with the following conditions:<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Living together appropriate family unity.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The applicant must not act in an inconsistent manner with family unity.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The applicant must not pose a threat to national security and public order.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the case of the death of the Turkish husband or wife after the submission of the application, the condition mentioned in paragraph (a) should not be taken into account. But since Turkish Citizenship Application by investment has a lot of options and the most common way to apply for Turkish Citizenship, we will issue this type of application under separate headline.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Turkish Citizenship Code allows foreign citizens to apply <\/span><b>Turkish Citizenship by Investment<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> via 6 types of exceptional investment procedures. The most common among them are <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2018<\/span><\/i><b><i>\u2019purchasing a property at least 250.000 US Dollars<\/i><\/b><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> or equivalent foreign currency or equivalent amount of Turkish Lira and attached annotation at land registration <\/span><\/i><b><i>not to sell the property for three years\u2019\u2019<\/i><\/b><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> or \u2018\u2019applicants <\/span><\/i><b><i>who invest at least 500.00 US Dollars<\/i><\/b><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> or its equivalent in foreign currency or equivalent amount of Turkish Lira and make commitment to hold the amount of deposits <\/span><\/i><b><i>for three years at banks operating in Turkey<\/i><\/b><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2019\u2019<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There are total 6 ways of investment. These are:<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Applicants who make fixed capital investment at least 500.000 US Dollars or equivalent foreign currency or equivalent amount of Turkish Lira and for whom certificate of conformity is issued by the Ministry of Industry and Technology,<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Applicants who have the immovable property at least 250.000 US Dollars or equivalent foreign currency or equivalent amount of Turkish Lira and attached annotation at land registration not to sell the property for three years and for whom a certificate of conformity is issued by the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization,<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Applicants who employ at least 50 employees and for whom a certificate of conformity is issued by the Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Services,<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Applicants who invest at least 500.000 US dollars or its equivalent in foreign currency or equivalent amount of Turkish Lira and make commitment to hold the amount of deposits for three years at banks operating in Turkey and for whom a certificate of conformity is issued by the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency,<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Applicants who purchase public borrowing instruments at least 500.000 US Dollars or equivalent foreign currency or equivalent amount of Turkish Lira and make commitment to hold these instruments for three years and for whom certificate of conformity is issued by the Ministry of Treasury and Finance,<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Applicants who purchase a real estate investment fund participation share or venture capital investment fund participation amount of at least 500.000 US Dollars or equivalent foreign currency or equivalent amount of Turkish Lira and make commitment to hold these participation shares for three-years and for whom a certificate of conformity is issued by the Capital Market Board.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">These are the types of investments to apply for Turkish Citizenship. Foreign citizens who make investments such as these, can apply for Turkish Citizenship for themselves, for their spouse and for their children.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Differences Between the Applications<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There are fundamental differences between these application types.
